    • Innovation Leadership and Inspiration™ Training focused upon enabling executives to optimally lead a team, or an entire organization, with an innovation-centric vision.  This course highlights the key element of aligning individuals’ personal mission statements with that of the organization, which is vital to the core of innovation thinking, behavior, and ultimate results.  One or two day duration (complements Creating a Culture of Innovation course).
    • Creating a Culture of Innovation™ Training focused upon enabling the rank-and-file employee toward developing Value-Driven Thinking™ as a default state of mind, not only while on-the-job, but more importantly first at home, with family, toward society, and within oneself.  Includes introduction to Pure Innovation methodology and tools (complements Innovation Leadership & Inspiration course).  One or two day duration in customizable formats.
    • The Innovation Executive Coach™ Service providing one-on-one mentoring and skills development for any individual employee (executive or non-management) to develop innovation proficiency, habits, and results through sustained real time and asynchronous interactions.  Engagements last typically 3 – 9 months, depending on the objectives and level of interaction desired.
    • Innovating Your Business Landscape™ Service providing guidance and ideation to executive leadership around developing and promoting an innovation-centric brand to your entire set of business stakeholders.  Optional services include development of innovation projects and initiatives (both internal and community-focused), documentation of your firm’s innovation success stories (e.g. for white papers, marketing materials, etc.), supplementation of your creative team (internal or agency), and co-creation of innovation-specific books, videos, and other materials, authored by your CEO, to be distributed to stakeholders.
    • The Innovation Audit™ Service providing an assessment of innovation capacity, proficiency, and performance at an individual, team, or organization-wide scale.  Output from the audit points to specific areas where corrective and/or developmental action should be taken.
    • I-School™ Detailed training in basic skills and proficiency of the Pure Innovation™ tools and methodology, which include STEP™: The Value Creation Cycle (the core methodology), The Seven States of the Innovative Mind™ (habits of value-driven thinking), The Ten Recipes of Innovation™ (formulas for value creation and problem-solving, similar to TRIZ), and several proven tools and techniques used throughout the innovation processes.  Graduates of the course receive an I-School Diploma™.  Course format lasts 2 – 3 days (6 – 8 hours/day).
    • Strategic Partner Services Various services and products that supplement the innovation value proposition, providing workflow automation, assessment, documentation, and more elaborate services around innovation, value creation, and ancillary strategic issues.  Examples include industry-specific strategy consulting, basic business skills training, general executive coaching, employee performance solutions, systems integration, web site development, marketing, sales support, and many more.

Charlie Garland - Bio

Charles Garland is the founder and president of Business Brainstorm, LLC.  He began his career in management with Procter & Gamble, and remains tightly involved with P&G alumni around the world.  He has worked with various organizations in the specialties of consulting, sales, marketing, training, business strategy, product development, total quality management/six sigma, client relationships, writing, and of course, innovation. 

Mr. Garland has significant domain expertise in various vertical markets, including financial services, energy/electric power, consumer packaged goods, information technology/e-commerce, restaurant & entertainment, novelty gifts, licensing, publishing, biotech/pharmaceuticals, and various small business environments.  He is the author of two books on innovation, both to be published in 2010, with several more in the pipeline planned along similar themes.  Past clients include Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, AIG, Bank of New York, Hearst Publications, McGraw-Hill, Accenture, Roche Pharmaceuticals, Tambrands, and many others. 

Charlie received his BS in engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he graduated first in his major, an elected member of the school’s senior honor society.  He earned his MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College – ranked the number one business school in the world by the Wall Street Journal for five out of the last 10 years – where he led its judicial board, overseeing the school’s renowned honor code.  Charles is a member of LinkedIn.com, where he has received several endorsements from past associates and satisfied clients.
